own a photograph

When I make a print, I am reminded that a highly compressed web JPG cannot hold a candle to a print made from a high resolution original. Photographs are prints - web images are just previews. I am always happy to print a photograph so it can be seen how it's meant to be seen.

about the prints

I am not a retailer, a shop, or a warehouse: all my prints are made to order, using photo labs and not a home inkjet. In this era of high quality digital enlargers, it's possible to exceed what were top quality prints ten years ago - in a fraction of the time, for a fraction of the cost.

After much experimentation, I've found a few standard and popular options that are high in quality and low in cost: traditional chromogenic photographs printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Lustre and archival pigment prints on Fuji Photo Satin. The cart links on most photographs list popular sizes.

Prints are made from the original film or files, and do not have the copyright notice that appears on the web version. All orders are verified by email before printing, to make sure everything is correct.

custom options

Since everything is done to order, other sizes and paper surfaces are available. See the custom options page for details.
